ARTIST PRESENTATION:

Sami Arojoki (Saturday 20.9.)
Turku-based Sami Arojoki performs both as a solo artist and as the frontman of several bands as a singer-guitarist. A familiar entertainer to many venues across Finland, his experience and professionalism shine through in his energetic performances. His repertoire includes well-known rock hits from both international and Finnish bands.

Otto F. – One Man Band (Saturday 27.9.)
Otto Fothy Jr., guitarist and singer from Bratislava, has entertained Finnish audiences after first touring festivals across Slovakia and Hungary as a professional musician. Since 1998, Otto has performed actively on Swedish cruise ships and in Finnish pubs. His reputation as “perhaps the world’s second-best one-man band” is no exaggeration. Known as “the man with the blue Fender,” Otto sings better than a guitarist and plays guitar better than a singer. His wide-ranging cover repertoire spans pop, rock, and blues.

Mika Rämä (Saturday 4.10.)
A highly recommended troubadour who performs covers in the spirit of Finnish rock from artists he especially admires (Juice, Edu Kettunen, etc.). If the moment is right, he may also slip in some of his own songs.

Kristian Roso (Saturday 11.10.)
Returning to the stage, Kristian Roso is perhaps Southwest Finland’s most energetic party troubadour, performing hits from the 2000s. At Roso’s gigs, you won’t hear the overplayed classics but rather fresh, popular, and recognizable songs.

DJ Snaijja – 90’s Party (Friday 17.10.)
When an entertaining and energetic DJ is needed, DJ Snaijja is the top choice. Expect a 90’s party full of nostalgia that will get everyone celebrating. Young Snaijja has performed all over Finland in clubs, private events, and festivals such as Freesifest.

Hiltunen (Saturday 29.11.)
Perhaps Southwest Finland’s best and most entertaining troubadour, known from the cover band Badfellas and his own project Shades Of Nowhere, which released several albums. In addition to being a guaranteed party entertainer, Hiltunen is also a songwriter whose own material has gained popularity on streaming platforms. Expect well-known hits, surprising choices, and just the right songs for the moment.

Rock & Science Troubadour (Saturday 1.11.)
Guitar-driven music across genres, skillfully supported by looping, making one musician sound like a full band. Kari Koponen, frontman of the Turku-based Rock & Science party band, now also performs as a troubadour. The band’s musicians are known from Jarkko Ahola’s (Teräsbetoni) solo career and many other projects. Honest guitar rock mixed with danceable modern hits guarantees a successful evening.

Annika Nord (Saturday 8.11.)
Annika Nord is a brilliant, cheerful Turku-based singer-songwriter and performer. A true music professional, she performs her own songs as well as energetic pop and rock covers.

P2’s Banquet (Saturday 15.11.)
Not a traditional cover band, but a unique show experience. Expect personal song choices, powerful vocals, brilliant guitar work, sometimes even comic stage banter, and infectious rhythms. These passionate professionals love performing and aim to give the audience an unforgettable experience that must be lived, not just described.

Jakke Aho Duo (Saturday 22.11.)
Jakke Aho, a Turku-based singer-guitarist, performs well-known pop and rock hits as well as his own material. His duo features professional musicians, including a solo guitarist from the band Kilpi.

Peltone (Saturday 25.10.)
A veteran musician who has toured Finland many times. His covers include well-known pop and rock hits, while his Finnish originals have also gained success. Peltone (Mika Peltonen) is especially well-known in this region, though based in Eura.

Esa Nummela (Saturday 6.12. Independence Day)
Singer-songwriter Esa Nummela competed in the Seinäjoki Tango Festival in 1998, placing in the top five, and in 2000 he was crowned Tango Prince. His acoustic gigs feature a wide range of Finnish and international covers, appealing to both dance and pop/rock audiences.

Sampsa Astala (Saturday 13.12.)
Finland’s only Eurovision winner, known from Lordi. Sampsa Astala’s acoustic solo gigs feature both Finnish and English covers, as well as his own material, which has been gaining momentum.

Andreas Rantala (Saturday 20.12.)
Known from several bands (including his solo work, Groovy Cat, and Dimma), this artist from Parainen now performs solo. Expect old and new hits delivered with positive energy and dazzling skill.

Juhani Mistola (Wednesday 31.12. New Year’s Eve)
Merikruunu’s New Year’s party will feature Turku’s rock ’n’ roll embodiment – guitarist and “living jukebox” Juhani Mistola. Known both as a soloist and from local bands (Luuvitonen, Rendez-Vouz, Mistolan Lasiset Linnut), Mistola guarantees a rocking night with his vocals and guitar. Don’t stay home – come celebrate at Merikruunu!
